Since ya girl is sick, I figured I’d bless you with a cute, summer candid from a few years ago rather than my snots and puffy eyes.

Anybody else feel really…shitty when they’re sick? And I’m not talking physically. I mean, don’t you start going insane when you feel like you haven’t been productive at all for too long? For the past couple days I have felt so uncomfortable, I haven’t been able to get a good night’s sleep, I haven’t had the energy to do anything and when I do, the motivation slips away all too quickly.
It sounds a lot like having a mental illness right? Constantly lacking energy, any motivation you might have disappears, leaving you back at square one, and no sign of productiveness.
To keep the body in good health is a duty, otherwise we shall not be able to keep our mind strong and clear

Physical and mental health go hand in hand. Being sick makes me realize just how important it is to truly take care of yourself in both aspects. Physically, you have to care for your body. Clothe yourselves accordingly to the different seasons (which is something I’ve learn the hard way over the years), watch what your body consumes and keep it as active as you can because let me tell you, it works!
I have the weakest immune system when it comes to catching colds and I would get sick all.the.time. This is the first time I’ve gotten sick in over a year (which is a record, by the way) and I was actually working out and going to the gym during that time. It’s the only explanation as to why I wasn’t getting sick.
You have to care for your mind as much as your body
Unfortunately, I haven’t worked out in a while so… there ya go. But you have to care for your mind as much as you would your body. Love yourself, treat yourself, care for yourself. Be selfish once in a while but also give back because that, too, nurtures your heart.
I can’t be at my best if I’m mentally not on the same page and vice versa. A healthy person is a happy person and a happy person can withstand anything that comes their way.
